I kept the furniture simple since I wanted the impact to be the color and the view. The color we chose is Sherwin Williams Naval.
#COASTAL DECOR WINDOWS#
The Blue RoomĮvery time someone walks into this room they exclaim, “I love the color!” Painting a room a dark color can be risky, but because we have so many windows in this room, there is really very little wall space. This narrow rectangle piece is perfect for resting against a wall if you don’t want to worry about hanging. I love how the color from the wall fills the openings! Find the resting piece HERE. This carved white medallion is a great way to add interest to a wall space. This mercury glass lamp is a simple yet slightly glamorous touch to any room. The white topstitching is a great touch, too. I also like this Tommy Hilfiger Euro Pillow because the cushion is included. It creates a crisp and fresh feel when you’re thinking about a bedroom makeover. This stunning navy and light blue duvet set gives off a similar vibe to the one I used. Here are some pieces that are inspired by my guestroom makeover. From the mercury glass lamps to the carved medallion, I had so much fun finding the right pieces for the room! Once I settled on the blue and white quilt, it was really the artwork over the bed that set the rest of the room design into motion. It has taken me nearly three years to get it just right, but I’m so pleased with the end result! Our guest room has been a work in progress. The colors put a smile on my face and I know that it would do the same in your home! All of My Guest Room Additions This bath mat doesn’t live in my living room… but I thought you’d like the share! I got out of my comfort zone on this one and strayed away from my go-to navy. But the classic colors and clean frame are what make this work.Īnd of course, I couldn’t leave without the store this cute beach house pillow.

I’ve always said I like to go with the classics while keeping the “beachy vibes” subtle. This sea horse wall art also made its way into my home. This discovery made me so excited… just take a look at the multi-colored wood on this clock! It’s rustic but I think it fits marvelously with a few of my other finds. It has a pearl-like look to it which is a good combination of coastal and elegant. One of my favorite things I found this summer is this seashell table lamp. I feel like a small refresh can make such a difference! Find the table lamp HERE. Throughout the year, I like to keep an eye out for new things to change up my space. You thought I’d pick them up without matching napkins? Of course not! I paired them with these summery starfish ones. Coastal decor is a little more traditional, but I like how these add some glam to the table. Then I found these napkin rings and had to pick them up.

Remember, stripes can be paired with almost any other pattern! Find the napkin rings HERE. They’re durable and I just adore the detailing and texture.Īnd that table runner? The light teal color completely complements the navy. I’ll start with these goblets which are one of my absolute favorite dinnerware items. And this summer, I found some table musts that will make you dining experience even better. You can’t neglect the table when adding decor touches to your home. Just click on the blue highlighted description for more product details. However, I found some similar items to share with you all so you can recreate similar looks in your own home! Home Goods and small specialty shops are often where I like to shop for things, so it’s hard to give you information on my exact items. Then, I like to incorporate subtle nods to elements from the beach.ĭon’t you love the way soft coral pops against darker blues? I don’t tend to favor the kitschy kind of coastal decor with fish, mermaids and anchors… Instead, I prefer a vibe with white-washed wood furniture, and saturated navy blue against crisp white. When we bought our home at the beach in Delaware, I had so much fun creating my dream coastal escape. Since I’ve been using our home as the background for a lot of my recipe and decor videos, you’ve also asked about some of my furniture and decorative accents as well.
#COASTAL DECOR HOW TO#
I’ve also had a lot of questions about how to recreate the coastal decor looks I’ve used in our beach house.
